In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden sect.

The questline focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
